So, is Joomla the perfect platform for a website? It certainly comes close if not actually so. Its main competitors are good, but in some ways not as good, and not as flexible and adaptive either. The official Joomla community forum has almost one and a half million posts. That's a vibrant community, and it wouldn't be so if the software was seriously lacking in some respect.

There is one slight drawback for the Joomla 1.5 user however, and that's the initial steep learning curve. Compared to the popular WordPress blogging software, for example, Joomla does require a bit of extra effort to get to grips with it. Once that has been mastered, any comparison with blogging software fades into obscurity. This is a powerful, robust and serious platform for any website. Is it the perfect platform? It very nearly is!
